Privacy and Safety

Thank you for visiting my site:  Supporting independent artists is key in keeping the economy going for individual practitioners. As well as helping people to do something they want to, supporting independents also means you help work from a much greater range of voices and backgrounds to be seen, creating an arts industry that is more representative of our society as a whole. Those of us who spend time crafting things also hope that it may help a move away from the mass marketing of throwaway items and fashion fads, which often have a much higher percentage markup than more expensive hand made items. The obvious problem in this is that we currently live in a low-wage economy in the UK, and so people can hardly be censured for buying cheap. However, one more maker who can stay afloat means more money put in to a future, healthier economy and into buying good quality raw materials, and not blaming other countries for climate change while simultaneously buying their manufactured g
goods. This is why your visit means everything

This Privacy Policy tells you how your personal information is stored or used when you purchase an artwork and visit the website.

At the moment we do not collect or use Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose but third parties might do this.

We do not ordinarily collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). MARKETING, ADVERTISING, PROMOTIONS

I may send you marketing emails to make you aware of upcoming events. If you would like to opt out of these please email. In practice the main marketing email is a quarterly newsletter. Otherwise marketing emails aren't usually done. If you want to keep up with more updates, then please follow on social media.

I do not give your data to anyone for third party marketing purposes.

5. DATA SECURITY

Appropriate security measures have been put in place to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, access to your personal data is limited to those who have a business need to know.

We are not responsible for any damages which you, or others, may suffer as a result of the loss of confidentiality of such information.

A NOTE ON BREXIT AND GDPR

I'm currently happy to ship worldwide, as I only sell occasional one-off items. In the absence of any current guidance, my website will still stick to the same GDPR standards after the UK leaves the EU. However, as the UK government may be signing up to other arrangements, with tech platforms etc, please be aware that this is just an intention for the personal element of my business and I am not responsible for structural or other changes out of my control that affect GDPR.
